Changing our name, nothing else
From November 1, Bay of Plenty Energy will be known as Nova Energy. The reason for this change is that our business and customer base is growing right across New Zealand. To reflect this expansion across the country and to avoid brand confusion we have decided to brand our entire business Nova Energy.
We want to personally reassure all our customers that this change is a name change only. Our prices for energy supply will remain the same as they are now and you will continue to be served by our Whakatane based staff. All members of the Nova Energy team are 100% committed to providing all our customers with excellent local customer service. Other things that will not change include:
- The quality of your energy supply
- Our customer Rewards programme
- The way you pay your monthly invoice
- Your customer number
- Our operating hours 7.30am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday
In addition, unlike other organisations that focus their operations in the big cities or even overseas, Nova Energy is committed to operating from the Eastern Bay of Plenty, where we have already operated for over 30 years as Bay of Plenty Energy.
The Eastern Bay of Plenty is home to Nova Energy and we will continue to play a major role in the regional economy by employing around 100 local people and utilising local suppliers whenever possible. Nova Energy’s growth has already created a number of new jobs in Whakatane and our continued growth is likely to create even more employment opportunities over the coming years.
We’re part of the community and we will keep investing in it, as we did through the recent BOPE/Nova Energy Community Support Fund, where we donated $100,000 to a range of local community organisations. Further, we are very keen to extend our community support and get alongside more organisations and initiatives. To help achieve this, in March next year we will be giving away another $100,000 to local organisations. We will also keep supporting the Nova Energy/Bay of Plenty Energy Cancer Centre, Books in Homes program, the Eastern Bay Chamber of Commerce, Whakatane WOW and other local initiatives too.
